No
I am not sure
Yes they do.
This place is as good as it gets. Dont be fooled by the store front. The food is amazing and the portions are huge.
Can't really rate this place. We waited 10 minutes for a table and decided to eat at the Mexican restaurant next door for breakfast... and it was terrific
Great breakfast! The Monte Christo with hash browns, scrambled eggs and rasberry jam was a perfect combination. The wife's pancakes were light, fluffy and delicious. Coffee was great as well! A 30 minute drive for us but well worth it - we'll be back!
First visit here but won't be the last! Delicious food and great service.
Wonderful place to get breakfast. The hashbrowns were delicious. The pancakes were very good. Small place with a charming staff. An extensive menu that's sure too satisfy many breakfast eaters.
Open the door and the smell of good food hits you, forget ihop, this place has more character and better pancakes, the cinnamon roll pancakes are my favorite, cant go wrong on whatever you choose. Oh yea, dont know if its a permanent fixture, but i hope you like the frozen soundtrack😆
Pancake Joe's was delicious! 🥞 It was a little hard to find which is why I'd probably never heard of it before but based off of it's great reviews on Yelp I thought we should try it out while family was in town!Sunday early afternoon it was PACKED (duh). The wait was about 30 mins and usually it's shorter, but not this time. With quality food and service, and you're able to check out the menu while you wait, it's really not a bad experience based on the wait-time. Just know ahead of time that you should get there and get your name on the list!Totally recommend their pancakes- of course! I had the delicious blueberry, but the cheesecake pancake stack was the bomb 💣 Some items you may prefer a little more flavorful but just ask and they are happy to bring whatever you need! If you're looking for a laid-back breakfast/brunch spot, try out something new, affordable, and tasty at Pancake Joe's!
Yes, there's just about always a wait, but it's worth it. Great food. Great service. Reasonable prices. The coffee is good. Love the shrimp omelette and banana nut pancakes, although I could go for more nuts and banana.
I was looking for a good breakfast place in town that wasn't main stream. I decided on Pancake Joe's based on the google reviews I saw. It was relatively easy to find, parking was available across the street. This place was packed when I walked in which is always a good sign of quality food and service. The wait was less than 15 minutes. The menu was simple to read and it was packed with many delicious options. I got the eggs plus combo and a short stack of banana pancakes. It was delicious and quality food and the service was great. Check this place out, I highly recommend it!
Yummy food, big portions and super friendly staff. Food came out fast and was very good.
Great Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Didn't try their famous pancakes but the sandwich was really great and the side of fruit was fresh and a great way to end the meal. Will def come back for their pancakes!
Was looking for a quick lunch, but not a fast food type of joint. The service itself wasn't very impressive. My cousin and I walked in and weren't greeted so we weren't sure whether we should seat ourselves or not. The hostess was hanging out at the kitchen with a clear view to the door. It wasn't until my cousin and I sat ourselves did she make her way towards us and decided to greet us. The food itself, the portions are good for the price, I went with the Philly Cheese steak minus the peppers. It comes with your choice of fries or house made kettle chips. The chips weren't crispy at all. They had clearly been soaking in grease, as they were pretty limp. But the sandwich was very delicious, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the steak very well seasoned and not chewy. The bun was fluffy, toasted, and warm.Over all, 3 stars. It's not something I would go out of my way for but will stop by again if I was in the area.
Great service and great food. A hidden gem in the outskirts of San Antonio.
Clean place, family owned. Great service and great food!
The fruit was discolored and old ,(the watermelon I was served was hard) the majority if the bacon on my turkey club was under not on the sandwich, the pancakes and biscuits were dry and overcooked and the amount of gravy you get is minimal. None of our meals came out together .(this includes my side of fries) Our server was very pleasant and was the young lady who took us to our table. those two and the cook were the only people actually doing anything. It's sad to see a group of five or so employees leaning on a couple term while one young lady busts her hump to serve pretty much everybody. I enjoyed my sandwich despite everything else and my wifes bacon waffle was pretty good. I wouldn't reccomend this place unless nothing else was open.
Awesome breakfast place!!! Great food!
Heard good things about this restaurant so had to give it a try. The coffee is awesome. Great breakfast -brunch menu. We preferred the waffles over the pancakes. The side of bacon and hash browns were good and plenty. Lots of people waiting, our party of 4 had a 30 minute wait at 10:30am. We would recommend this restaurant, but expect a wait.
Awesome breakfast and friendly service. Had the French toast grilled cheese which was very tasty and unique.
We came from the valley to a wedding and wanted to looking for a good breakfast restaurant on a Sunday morning. The wait was about 30 mins, but well worth the wait! Waiter was so attentive and food came out fast! Spinach egg Benedict, really good, especially their waffles!
It was amazing will definitely come back
Delicious! Fantastic! Satisfied... with the food every time. Amazing breakfast special. Make this a place you try out. I wasnt sure at first, but like that how in the wall bar, this hidden gem is sure to please your taste buds as well as any hefty appetite. Thank you guys! The pic i posted is a bit glorified. I added extra bacon and hashbrowns. But you can get this amazingly cheap breakfast with pancakes or French toast. Yum!
They were hiring cooks & servers. Their probably good but not today. Sausage gravy not warm. Coffee barely warm. Hopefully they will stabilize. First time there.
Like trying different places!Definitely will go back!
The banana chocolate chip pancakes had chunks of real banana cooked in the batter I think they could have had more chocolate chips in the batter because I like the chocolate and you are paying 99 cents every addition to the pancakes. We saw pictures of the banana chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream but I guess that was something extra as well. The bacon was very good, chewy but crispy. We had good service except weren't really greeted when we came in. There was no sign saying to wait to be seated and the lady at the counter did not say anything to us.
Every time I come here I have to wait forever. The servers are nice but they never check on you and almost always spend a hour here ..... I feel like they could focus more on better service. The food is excellent especially in the pancake and waffle category.
The food was not bad, just not special. Service was great. I had the Bruoche French Toast along with sausage & eggs. The Ms had the Garden Omlette and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. Be mindful of the table cleaning ninja with the spray bottle, he created such a plume of spray that we were gasping for air, not to mention it polluted our drinks.
One of my favorite breakfast places / places to take people when visiting in town . Love the photographs of the Jefferson neighborhood and the feeling you get of being connected to where I live . The popularity has grown (hooray) , so be prepared to wait for seating and there to be a slightly chaotic atmosphere . A slight decline in quality / quantity in the 3 years I have known it - but I will still remain loyal .
Great food, ok service, but the place smelled like a urinal
Food is always great, the staff is friendly and professional.
The food is super! Tasty and great prices
I love pancake joes and their banana bread french toast. However, do not let Galyssa help you. She lies about what is available and doesn't have a very healthy mindset concerning manners over the phone. Hanging up on customers and lieing about a manager not being on duty as well as dishes not being no longer available isn't a decent way to represent this restaurant. Aside from her, this restaurant and their food, is good.
We love this place! Pancakes are always fluffy! Coffee is always fresh and service is always friendly! Worth the wait! 😃
I was visiting from California with my daughter omg the coconut pancakes are bomb. Yummmy
Definately worth the wait. I have waited here both times I havecome. the service and food definately worth it. Cinnamon swirl pancakes, Monte Cristo open faced, omlets, all the teas and coffee! Food is completely outstanding if a family owned business.
Plates were really good and we had a variety of waffles/pancakes and cinnamon pancakes were good ...waitress kinda forgot a couple of things and refills but was still good overall!
This is the best kept secret in the world. Food was fantastic. Great portions and cooks are very much obliged to cook it how you want it. Staff was fantastic I'm very attentive. I will be visiting here every time I come to San Antonio.
Absolutely fantastic. Food was incredible, service was fast and friendly. Easily lived up to the hype about the place.
First time and didn't disappoint. When you go ask for Jeremy to be your server. He gave amazing recommendations and food was on point!
The food at Pancake Joe’s is some of the best breakfast food I've ever had! It is absolutely phenomenal and cannot be beaten. However, the service is quite lacking. It took the waitress 20 minutes to bring our entrees and while it was busy I saw three of the servers were huddled in a corner chatting amongst themselves as I was still waiting for my food. Overall, the service was just slow and almost makes it not worth going. It saddens me because I love the food, but it was just a real letdown.
Really great food! So many options that all sounded amazing so it was tough to pick.. I got regular pancakes but they were lacking in flavor somehow so I’d suggest ordering one of the speciality pancakes (there’s many options). I really loved the old-school feel and classic music.. that was probably my favorite part besides how great everything was and the portion sizes. Recommend !
Don't waste your Money in this Place.Service was Supper Friendly but the Food was not worth the price.I will go to any Mexican Taqueria for Breakfast were the Food is WAY BETTER for a 1/3 of the Price.
Very quaint spot pancakes were good. All staff had on face covering which was cool. Guests were space apart for social distancing. One guy(customer) ruined it for me though when he sneezed and didn't cover his face. I wish people would be more self conscious so we can get back to normalcy. Otherwise it was good to finally get out of the house.
The omelets were huge and very delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the firmness of our comfy booth. It was not all broke down like booths often are. The staff was great and the coffee good. I will go back if given the chance. Tourists.....well worth checking out!
Lots of breakfast options, from waffle, pancakes, french toast, btw omelettes are huuuuge! No sides needed! Staff is friendly and courteous. Restaurant is clean and food is hot off the grill, I totally recommend this place 👍🏻
Clean and friendly staff food is fresh and delicious
Pancake Joe's is one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch in town. They have a delicious menu and I can't say I've had one thing I didn't like there. We had the pleasure of having Ingrid serve us and she was attentive and very welcoming. The second location off of Ingram tastes the exact same since I was there last. 5 stars for delicious food and great service!
I have been having some bad luck in eating at restaurants lately. We were excited to eat at the Original Pancake Joe's since we had eaten a while back at their Ingram location. Our server took over 6 to 8 minutes to see us. Hostest do not seem to notice, or ask if need anything. The place was freezing. I ordered the Fajita Egg Omelette....I know that business have to run efficiently and cutting on costs of food is important, but when the portion of food, in this case is low, then let's call it a Egg Omelette with some fajitas. My wife ordered the French Toast, needles to say, not to her pleasing. The only food that was great was the waffle!!! Perfect on point.Service needs to be trained and food needs to be seasoned correctly. Will give you all an opportunity later in the future, but would not recommend at this time.
Saturday day breakfast!! First time at Pancake Joe’s so had to have the pancakes. We had the cinnamon pancakes, pancakes and eggs and a garden omelette. The food was awesome and worth the 30-40 minute wait.
Finally got to eat here and it was very good! The portions are big and filling. The pancakes are delicious! We got here before 9am and there was not a wait.
Excellent Menu & Terrific Food! Outstanding Service! Great Adherence to COVID Etiquette! Definite plans to be a repeat customer!
